Careers at Crossing Borders

Crossing Borders International Preschool is an amazing place to work at. We are a privately family-owned and operated school with a long-standing excellent reputation within the community. Crossing Borders International Preschool is located in the prestigious Rice Village area. Our staff is motivated and passionate about children and teaching, supportive of one another, and lots of fun. During your time at Crossing Borders International Preschool, you will build long lasting relationships and friendships! We can’t wait to meet you!!

Resource Room

Crossing Borders International Preschool has a Resource Room filled with books, music, posters, art, unit-based toys, and science items. We also have a die-cut machine and laminator. We have a very generous availability of supplies for art, science, cooking and themes. Teachers are provided with curriculum as a blueprint but encouraged to personalize their classrooms, lesson plans and activities. All classrooms are equipped with tablets, speakers, computers, and projectors and an app to communicate with parents and to research classroom ideas.

We work with a temp agency to substitute teachers giving the director the ability to grant time off when needed for the staff and a Paid Time Off Policy for qualified employees. Crossing Borders International Preschool also offers discounted childcare to the dependents of CBIP staff.

Our director

Our director has many years of experience in her current position and has previously been in a preschool role, giving her empathy and the ability to relate well to staff and classroom experiences. Our Administrative Staff and Owners pride themselves on communicating well with staff and providing plenty of support and appreciation. Lastly, our staff is a lot of fun – we love to laugh and find humor in all we do at CBIP!

Our team members are from all over the world. Be ready to learn a few words of other languages and interact with different cultural backgrounds.

We are a tight-knit group of less than 40 people. We work together through daily challenges, of course, we also play together: workshops, trips, and a lot of laughing.

Our talented team members love working with children and have a commitment to high quality education. We are continuously looking for bilingual, creative, energetic, optimistic, proactive, enthusiastic, and joyful people. Sounds like you?

Rewards We Offer

We want to offer our students a fun, dynamic, language immersion environment. Our team members are a big part of that effort. They are rewarded by seeing that their work helps to enable students to develop into confident, responsible, and independent children who are proficient in multiple languages.

Your work will have a lifelong and meaningful impact on the lives of our students. You will notice daily results. Crossing Borders has been teaching languages for more than 15 years and we keep working to build something meaningful and lasting.

Our team members also receive competitive salaries, paid holidays, development opportunities, career growth and advancement, plus other benefits you might not expect.
